I just recieved the Edge 2000 Quick Connect system for my PC today. Here is my review of the product:

Packaging:

Over all packing was great. Alot of foam to insure the protection of the pads. No problems with the packaging.

Instructions:

The Edge 2000 Quick Connect pads came with instructions for proper handling, connection and other precausions you need to be aware of on the package of each pad. Each pad came in it's own package with instructions on the back of each. You can't mess up with the pads if you read the instructions. Very clear and just common sence basically.

Pricing and over all value:

The pads are priced as a reasonable value. The cost for the Yellow Pad (Double Sided) , the Blue Polishing Pad (Double Sided) and the Adapter come to a total of $53.85 with the 10% discount through Dwayne comes to $48.46 plus shipping. Two Lake Country Orange Power Pads, two White Polishing Pads, and the backing plate comes to a total of $73.74 and with the 10% discount a total of $66.37 plus shipping. That is a $17.91 savings. That is a great deal.

Over all opinion and results:

I just recieved the pads today so I went over to my grandparents to try them out on his hood that has spider webbing like crazy and brought out the SSR2.5 and SSR1. I connected the adapter and put the Yellow Cutting pad on. I went straight to the Yellow Cutting pad and SSR2.5 on his truck because I tried the Orange LC pad on the PC with SSR2.5 and it just didn't cut it. I worked the product in @ 4 and used back and forth motions, left to right, and diagonal motions all over the hood until the product broke down and I kicked it up to 6. There was a little dust from the 2.5 with this pad but not enough to complain about. It took about 90% of the spider webbing out of his paint with no trouble what so ever. I followed with SSR1 and the Blue pad. Both pads are great. They are thick and you can really feel the difference in the Edge 2000 Yellow pad and the LC Orange Power pad. They are alot thicker and I didn't have to use as much presure with these pads as I have been with the LC pads. The fact that the backing plate is in-between the pad really helped me feel more comfortable about using the PC. Didn't feel as though I had to watch my motions as much. The fact that they are double sided, convientently designed to switch pads with a breeze is real nice as well, and I achieved the results for most of the part alot quicker with the products I have compared to the same products I've used with the LC pads.

End Thoughts:

First I want to thank Aaron over at Dedication to Detail for giving me the opportunity to try his pads out. I will deffinately be purchasing the other pads from Aaron at Dedication to Detail. The price is right, I get the results I'm looking for with the PC, and they are so far the best pads I have used. My question to the members of Detail City is this. To those who tried the Edge 2000 Quick Connect system from Dedication to Detail, who has switched, if you've even switched back to the Velco pads and a regular backing plate why is it you switched to those pads after you used the Edge 2000 Pads?

Well I like the review and I would agree that these are very under rated. I have been using them for a while now and if you have a rotary you should pick up the EDGE 2K adaptor for that also It's really nice having to only carry around one set of pads and still be able to switch from machine to machine. I'm not sure why more mobil detailers are not using it?? Cost is aways a factor when buying stuff and i got in on that great deal Dwyane had BUT the only problem was those pad were 1st gen and the glue was not up to the task. With that problem fixed the pads are fine. Arron has been great with CS and is willing to go the extra mile to everyone happy.

If anyone has any questions about this system please feel free to ask them here as arron does read this board often
