My Boat

Hey guys,

Overall my boat looks very good. I hand waxed it awhile back. Anyways, there are a few "spider web" type imperfections. I have a rotary buffer but was more of looking to use a small hand buffer to work on these imperfections. What would be your process....I was thinking a cleaner wax with a little bit of compound and then a wax or polish...what do you think for marine? I have attached a picture.

You should post a close up picture of your spider web cracks. I have some spider webbing in my boat and they are cracks in the gelcoat that won't compound/polish out but must be filled first, then you compound, polish, etc.

I'd use the rotary polisher you already have, or a FLEX 3401 if it's not too bad and you have one. You can try going with a foamed wool pad on a Porter Cable style polisher, but it would take a lot longer. Have you tried any test spots yet?
