Although I have always kept my car clean, this is the first time I have properly detailed it since I've owned it. The car is an Astra Coupe Turbo in Mirage Grey Metallic. Using the info from this forum, I bought some goodies to try out, these include:

Porter Cable

Sonus SFX pads

Sonus clay block

Sonus clay lube

Meguiars Gold class shampoo

Poorboys SSR2.5

Carlack68 (supposed to be the same as AIO)

P21S Carnuba wax

Meguiars microfibre cloths and towels.

Here a the results. :)

I am really pleased with the results. Silver cars are difficult to photograph in order to show how clean they are, I hope I've done a good job of it. Any comments welcome. :)

Welcome Mike, nice colour and I bet the wheels are a joy to clean!

They are a nice and easy shape. They are the standard wheels, but I had them reconditioned as the previous owner kerbed them many times. I had them painted in the light anthracite and the faces diamond cut and laquered. The Carlack68 cleaned them up really well and the shine has remained pretty good since doing the details.

Here is a close up of one of the wheels.
