Hello,

Let's see after reading this forum for the last year if I finally get to graduate :)

I am preparing for the summer season and ready to attack my 1997 Green Maxima with deep swirls and return it to it's prime state. I would like to hear your comments and recommendations on my approach.

Here's what I have in stock so far:

Poorboy Super Slick & studs soap

Sonus Detailing Clay and Lubricatant

Menzerna IP

RMG

UPP

Meguire Gold Class Wax (not planning to used it)

Sonus Anti-Swirl & Gloss Enhancing Polish (Got it free and not planning on using it)

PC7424

Yellow - Restore Pad SFX-1

White -Enhance pad SFX-2

Blue Pad

To buy: FX-100, and #425 and maybe WG deep gloss sealant

Step 1

Wash Car

Clay

Step 2

Polish car with IP and remove as many swirls as possible with PC (with Yellow pad).

I might try that secret weapon of mixing IP and RMG

Step 3

RMG

UPP

UPP (again after 30 minutes)

UPP (and again)

FX-100 (and then wait 60 minutes)

#425

Step 4

When car gets dirty, wash, apply FX-100 and #425

Question:

Should I apply WG deep gloss sealant after UPP and before FX-100 in Step 3? Or is WG not needed at all?

:wavey

Thanks Guys, your help is very much appreciated..

Looks impressive to me. You have many products I aim to purchase. Is it IP & RMG or P106FF & RMG or are both combos effective.

get the 425 soon. It's litterally the finishing touch, my friends love to touch runs their fingers over it and say "ooh"..."ahh"

Thanks. Do you think I should apply WG deep gloss sealant after UPP and before FX-100 in Step 3? Or is WG not needed at all?

You're going to use three sealants? Maybe just put the three layers of UPP on and then see how you like it. UPP is one of the best-looking sealants in my opinion and I'd think three layers would be adequate protection, especially if it's just for summer. If I wanted to do anything more I might just put a carnauba wax, like NB, over it as an lsp.

I suppose if you can layer different waxes, you can layer different sealants, but I'm not really sure. Plus I don't know how much of a visual or protective difference that would make anyways, particularly with UPP (x3) in the mix.

I've never used the WG sealant, so unfortunately can't comment about that.
