My 2006 Silverado LT

In lieu of all the plans I have in store for my truck I decided to do a photoshoot as she sits now so I can compare it later down the road when everything I have planned is complete. Aside from the Corsa catback and color matched door handles/mirror caps she is all stock exterior wise. And although she may not stand out at a car show or even cruising down the highway- she is mine, I pay for her and that makes her beautiful to me. So here she is, my stockish 06 RCSB Silverado LT:

I detail her using the PC w/ edge 2000 pads, OP/Poorboys SSR 1-2.5 for swirls, and the Jeff Werkstatt kit..(and some various megs products for the wheels, tires, glass, etc.) I love the results thus far. :)

Thanks for the comments everyone. :)

Sweet looking truck man! I'm curious what kind of camera you're using? The pictures turned out great.

Elantra, the camera I am using is a Canon Rebel XT with the kit lens (18-55mm). :)

what are the plans for her?

Well at the moment I'm in the process of building up an iron block 6.0l (LQ4 shortblock to be exact) with a set of either ported 317 or LS6 heads milled slightly to increase compression. I plan on using the stock internals and just upgrading the valve train and running either a 220/220, 224/224 cam. Coupled with some Pacesetter longtube headers and some custom tuning via HP Tuners I hope to hit around 400hp at the crank.

Looks wise I plan on doing a 2/4 McGaughy drop, color matching the tailgate handle, rear bumper, lower valance and getting the factory foglights installed. I have not decided on the wheels yet...I kind of like the way the stockers look. :)

Very nice looking Silverado you have there. It will really change the overall look when the drop is installed......they look mean sittin low.

Should surprise some folks too with that kind of HP.

Looks great! I just picked up my '07 Silverado a few weeks back. One of the first things I did was paint the rear inner fender wells. I used the rubberized undercoating spray that I got it from Advance Auto parts. It makes a huge difference.

Looks good :)

Here's a few pics of my 06 GMC after a mini-detail a while back.

Thank you sir, I can’t wait to get a good drop kit for the truck. I think that alone will make a huge difference despite the stock wheels. The LQ4 buildup is first on the list though! I want to make sure the truck will go fast before it looks good lol.

Thanks for the comments! Did you get the new body-style ’07 or the Classic? I was actually thinking about spraying that undercoating like you mentioned. Do you have any pictures of the results?

Where's the picture of you posed in front of the truck?!?!?!?! You left out the best picture...............

LOL what’s up Frito? It’s good to see some other PT.net folks on here. As far as the pic goes…I figured I’d spare myself the embarrassment since it didn’t turn out like I inteded it to lol.
