Hi everyone!
My name is Kevin. I am kind of a lurker on the forums. I am a college student from Northern California. I guess you can say I am kind of a car junkie and appreciate a clean car! I got the detailing bug when I got a part-time job a few years ago. Even though that time with the job was short, I still like to spend my free time tinkering around with my car. Anyways, I wanted to share my project with everyone. I spent a few days detailing my car. I spent an hour or two over a few evenings detailing the car. The car is a daily driver (and my only car) so I can't really leave it in the garage. I use it to drive to school/work/other obligations. I am no pro by any means... just wanted to share the after pics with everyone!
Sorry. There aren't any before pics. I don't have a fancy camera or awesome photography skills... and the car is white... glacier white to be precise. It's more of a creamy white.
Here are the pics I have so far. Taken with an old Canon point and shoot, and photoshop'ed a little bit to help reduce the over exposure. Pics don't really do it justice though.
LSP was Chemical Guys 5050 Paste Wax and Hybrid V7 spray. One of my friends who is also big in detailing highly recommend both and provided them to me to give a try. I didn't go too crazy on the correcting process. It isn't perfect, but I think I did a decent job. I figured that it being driven as much as I did, going the extra mile might be a little wasteful. There are still some rids and what not in the paint, but for the most part, it's somewhat difficult to see. 2 layers of 5050, then followed by V7. I think the car looks great for something from 1997 and has 190k miles on it!
Stuff I used:
Adam's Polishes Car Wash
Adam's Polishes All Purpose Cleaner
Adam's Polishes Super VRT
Adam's Polishes Detail Spray
Chemical Guys 5050 Paste Wax
Chemical Guys Hybrid V7 Spray Sealant
Porter Cable 7424XP with a bunch of polishes (I have to think which one, I'll fill it in when it comes back to me.)
Stoner's Invisible Glass
Yes... my license plate does say HADOUKN. Video game pop culture for y'all.
Reflection shot fail... It looks so much better in person!!
Thanks for looking! Hopefully, I'll have some better quality pics in the very near future.

Some more recent, higher resolution pictures!
This one is my favorite. Wish this one came out a little crisper, though!
