My 1989 325i

e30's look so great when they're all cleaned up. it's very rare to see a nice clean e30 these days.

good work! :)

I used the Norton Liquid Ice system. Its a one compound, 3 pad system and seems to work really well on older paint for some reason. I got it for free(with 3 pads:yay ) and a bottle of compound from the Norton supplier.
The paint is single stage from 1989 all original Zinnoberot. So being single stage it always shines up nice.
The car actually looks like this now.
I painted the chrome trim and am doing a full suspension rebuild(lowered all polyurethane bushings new control arms tierods, the works).

glad you like it but youll love it when its done:cool:

very nice work. dont forget to post some pics when its done. what was wrong with the suspension just getting old lol.

the inner ball joints were shot, but the car is going to see alot of track day/auto x duty next yesr so I wanted everything up to par. I should have it done by the end of next month. Ill be sure to post pics. New wheels and tire in the spring too. I cant wait.

That's a great looking ride first love is the 3 series for me...thinking about going back to a mid 90's M3 myself

Re: My 1989 325i **Update**

Finished for now until spring.
Lowered 2.5", all new polyurethane bushings control arms tie rods everything. Its like a brand new car underneath.

Put some stupidly oversized wheels i had laying around on it. Ive got some new 15s going on in the spring.
Paint needs Meguires 80 to look like it should ill post pics this weekend after i clean it up. Rockers are going to be painted black again this weekend too.
Hope you like it.

I like the rims on the car look great, also great buy on that car!

if your not a member check out

bimmerfest lots of good info on that site about your car

clean e30 i love it, are thos OZ's? they look alright but if its gonna be tracked, probably not the best size

The wheels are alpina Kopis(a knock off 17" of real Alpina wheels 16"). I have a few sets of wheels stock(like pictured in first post "winter wheels"), 15" BBS Rz378s(no tires yet), and some 15x7 kosei K1s with falken azenis for track duty. Over all im happy with the cars performance(the Kopis look good but really slow it down) It still needs some tweeks in the rear sway bar and a little camber in the front will make it perfect.
Glad everyone likes it.

wow, a lot of rim choices! i detailed an e30 m3 with kosei's, thta car was incredible. next time im begging for a ride cause his car is rediculous. something like 20 grand in gruppe A engine parts only, another 20 in the rest of the car.... man i want an e30

Two of my freinds have e30 m3s one is diamondschwartz the other alpineweiss. Both over 300bhp. stupid fast, ill have one someday. an 88 hellrot with tan.
