I finally got around to doing a quick detail on my car today. I've been so busy with work and other stuff, I never had the chance. If anyone really cares, I included pictures of my hardwired radar detector. All pictures were shot with a Nikon D40 with a 18-55mm Lens and a 55-200mm lens.



Process:

Wash with TW Ice 2BM

Wheels with Megs WB

Tire and Wells with Megs APC 4:1

Clay with Z-18 and Sonus Green

Menz FP on LC CCS White via PC

91% IPA wipe down

S100

Tires and Wells with Megs HD 4:1

Windows and trim with Klasse AIO

Nice work =].How is the clear on your civic? My coworker has the same year/model in white, and wants me to work on her car. Checking it out today the paint seemed totally dull to the eyes and very rough under the fingers.

The clear is on the soft side. The first time I polished it, I used Menz IP on a LC orange pad followed by Menz FP on a LC white pad. That was back in December. I had a couple of light defects this time and FP and a white pad took care of the perfectly.

Nice photos! How do you like your camera? My wife just gave me a Nikon D60 w/ 18-55mm lens for my birthday. Can't wait to do a C&B!

I love it. I'm still trying to figure out all settings and stuff. It is a lot different than my old Point and Shoot camera.

Awesome work on the car and great photography with the new camera! This photo looks like it could have come straight from a sales brochure!



BTW, the work on the GF's Corolla in your other post was impressive as well.
 
Nice job on the detail and the pics, but that location would not have been one of my choices to take a freshly detailed car. Cool pics nonetheless.
