Hello everyone!

Well I did a search and it looks like another forum member was also looking for a music service to download music from legally but at an affordable price. There are so many different plans and scams out there I was just wanting to hear your opinions. This is for my boss as he does not have his iPod yet and is just using a mp3 player to get him buy until x-mas.

Thanks for all the help!

I download through the RealPlayer's online music store or Itunes. I don't have an Ipod, but have a palm pda and it connects to RealPlayer for easy syncing. RealPlayer has deals sometimes. About six months ago they were running a special for .69/song or 6.99 and an album.

if the majority of the cd is good, i'd rather buy the album then download it (listening to the actual cd sounds better than it compressed downloading it). getting the music is only one half of the package as i like the booklet, lyrics, pics, etc.. as that completes the other half. support music stores (especially your local independent one)!

Yeah, but that's going to vary for each person. I guess this is the reason that CD's are stil selling and not completely replaced. I'm the exact opposite... one I buy a CD, the case gets put on the shelf and the CD thrown in the car.....after ripping the songs to my MP3 player. I rarely look at the booklet so, it's not worth it to me. My wife is the same as you though. She want's the booklet and case and all that, so I have to buy her the CD instead of downloading it.
