Moving to a garage

Congrats on the move. I also have a garage that I am moving into in August.

The main advice that I have for you is to offer services that cater to your current clients. If they got too spoiled with you coming to them, they may appreciate you offering services such as a pick up/drop off service. A garage (as you know) will increase your cost overhead, but also remeber that you can increase your volume just the same. Good luck and again congrats.

Oh also get yourself a scissor lift like Toto. That will help you out very much with having a garage as I have found out.

watch the overhead...utilities, rent, etc...then hire someone else to help out, and get more clients...should be well worth it!

good luck

Thanks guys....Is it a good idea to offer an ''expensive'' car wash??i mean more expensive than the usual one but with autopian standard...I guess this it will bring money because it will be a weekly process for a customer instead of detailing that it will be for each customer every 3-6 months and maybe once a year...

I would offer washing....both high end and non...unless you want to be known as just a high end detail location

if you offer a $20 wash, and a $30 wash, you might get people curious why one is more than the other and upgrade, just be sure its worth it! - 100% hand wash, wells, wheels, jambs, etc

but think about it...with the overhead you have now, you are going to have to do that much more detailing to come out ahead like you are now...say your rent is 800 and you charge 200 per detail....thats 4 more cars you HAVE to do in order to survive at the same rate per month...

break it up in to washes, quick details, full details, full interior/wash n wax....etc

I wish I had your opportunity....

after all the time spent getting those cd's to you i better see the garage open and soon lmao.

I will be on the same place with an exotic car garage,so i want to offer only the high end wash....The cheap one they can find it anywhere...I know it is better to have both of them, cheap and expensive, but i don't want to have another one carwash at the end : )..I prefer to be known for my quality on detail.....I know that the ''easy'' and frequently money are on the car wash but i will give it a try first with the ''expensive one''...

So what about the equipment know??

What i must have??
