GREATINGS ALL!

Subject: 2005 Big Dog Chopper

- silver base with orange flame overlay & orange frame

- some chrome and TOO MUCH polished, billet aluminum

This bike is way too nice (and too expensive) to use "Wal-Mart brand" detailing supplies.

I am looking for the BEST products and means to keep the paint, chrome and polished, billet aluminum looking concourse show ready, which brought me to this website & forum.

I am especially concerned with the following problem areas:

1. hairline (very light) scratches in finished chrome (on exhaust pipe and air cleaner top)

2. hairline (very light) scratches in paint clearcoat (especially around the gas cap)

3. getting the polished, billet aluminum to look like chrome and keep it that way for more than a week at a time (which is all the longer it seems to last before it oxidizes and dulls out again)

I look forward to all ideas and suggestions! :idea

Thanks!!!:waxing:

I have been building/riding/racing Harleys for years & years ago I was 1/2 owner of a Chopper shop.

There is nothing you can do about chrome scratches. The paint might be helped by using NXT.

As far as the aluminum, polish it like chrome & then clearcoat it.

Right on bro, keep up the good work and knock that sucker out big dawg style. Cause big dawgs need big dawg toys and big dawg toys need big dawg detailing products. You name it, Ive used it, Ive tried, and I know it. I seen it all bro, you are in good hands.
