I am thinking maybe I used a slightly too agressive compound. Do you think I can repair this without repainting???

Sorry guys, in a weird mood tonight. Anyway, the bike needed some work when I bought it last year and one thing just led to another and you can see where I am right now in the "after" pic. I have some work to do on the engine and carbs at which point I will start the re-assembly. I will probably start a new thread at that time if anyone is interested in following the progress. She will remain mostly stock except for the suspension. I just picked up a Penski 2-way shock for the rear. Still looking into options for the forks, maybe an RC51 USD fork swap or, if they make them for the VFR750, a Traxxion cartridge. Anyway, she should handle much better than stock.

Removed all that and still left the mud flap/plate on!? lol

I am a lifetime member of the FULL LENGTH FENDER CLUB :D Seriously, I put a lot of miles on this bike and I ride rain or shine and I prefer to leave the rear fender the way it is. Personally I associate chopping the rear fender with the stunta crowd and I have no desire to emulate that look :o

Personally I have always associated chopping the rear fender with the stunta crowd and I have no desire to emulate any part of that look :o
