I have shampoo, mothings showtime instant detailer, meguiars gold class wax, and mothers clay bar



Do i wash,dry,instant detail for lube and then apply clay and wipe off, and then gold class wax it?

Wash, dry, use the clay according to included instructions, then wax.



Alternatively you can skip drying and use carwash solution as a lube instead of QD.

Wash- Clay with soap-Dry-Wax



I would make one suggestion though when using a car wash soap to clay and the above steps.

However, don't use the same car wash solution you used when washing your dirty car. Don't take your dirty wash mit, and dip it into the dirty water and slop it on your hood and start claying. You might get some pretty nasty scratches. That is the only suggestion I have with the above steps. Get a smaller pail maybe, and use another wash mit or sponge to apply the NEW car wash soap and water.

after making my own mistakes with clay, and scratching my glass a little, I might save you the same mistakes.



be careful



don't use the clay on too many vehicles, or get it too dirty before tossing it, bad no no!



and after a few passes, stretch it out thin like a plate, and you'll be able to see if any dirt or rocks or anything is in it. If so pull out the peice, remold and continue with your work.
