Mother's Reflections

Curious as to whether anybody here has used Reflections. I have been attempting to use it and jsut have not gotten the results I have been after. I use Zaino on my Grand prix but had a bottle of Mother's I figured I would try on the Acura. About 3 months ago I dawn washed, clayed and SMR'd the car, and used Mother's. 2 weeks later I wash and there is no visible sheeting or beading. Also, the polish seams to disipate, car no longer feels smooth. Tried it again this weekend and waiting for the rain to see how it holds up. Any thoughts?

Joe - Reflections is a different type of product than Zaino. Reflections is a resin based synthetic, rather than a polymer based product. Also, since it has light cleaners in it, it cannot be layered.

As to the lack of sheeting after several weeks, because a resin product is softer than a carnauba or polymer, the surface will not feel as slick due to the softness. But, the finish is protected.

I use it on my daily driver and my wife's mini-van. For what it is (a one step product that's extremely easy to remove), I consider it a good product. I apply it every 4-6 weeks, and wash twice a week.

Hopefully, others will pass along their opinion of it since I'm somewhat biased.

I have played around with it. While I never really had it on a car long enough to test durability, it was easy to use, and had a wicked shine. Keep us posted...

And how is its polishing qualities ? You can always top it cant you ?? Ive often thought of buying it to try it out, I like MOthers products.........

They made me some that I played with (I also asked for a presoftened paste to no avail) and liked.

Their concern has to do with the resins not distributing properly if not for the action of the cleaners to release the encapsulated resins.
