Mother's Power Polish

Dr Groove

Happy Motoring !
I haven't seen too many posts about Mother's Power Polish.

Has anyone used it? If so, what is your opinion of the product?

Thanks !

Pretty nice OTC polish. Def. pad dependent. To get rid of typical swirls etc. I'd recommend a light cutting pad. Polishing pad didn't do much other than help clean the paint. Nice polish for PC use. Haven't tried it with a rotary, though.
Tends to be fairly runny. Must shake it thoroughly. Even then, I find it to be a bit runny. Still works, but some people have issues with using runny polish.

Thanks Big Leegr. It sure is runny. Reminds me of Vanilla Moose which is the most "liquidly" product I use.

What speed on a PC would you suggest for removing micro marring?

I have used the polish on the black truck recently. I used a polishing pad from LC on a PC set at five. Cleaned the paint fine. It may take care of some fine marring but was not a real corrective polish in my opinion. This is the only time that I have used it. It was easy to use but was runny as was stated.

If used properly (correct pad, speed, working time), I have found it to remove quite a bit of defects/swirls.

As CW mentioned, with a polishing pad, you likely will not be impressed with any corrective qualities, but if you move up to at least a light cut, you should notice "better" correction. I use it between 4.5-5.5 (Hardly ever use the PC @6. That tends to be the "breaking point" for my pads. :( )
I've read that using a med. cutting pad lets you address some more severe marring, but (fortunately) I haven't had any need to try this yet.

I really like PowerPolish. I've removed some pretty serious cobwebbing with a Propel Orange, then Propel Yellow. PowerPolish has a long working time, and it removes very easily. Very pad dependant like others have said. Give it a try, and email forrest if you have any questions.

Ive used it on a few vehicles, the power polish and the power wax and so far ive been impressed with it, if you spend enough time with it, it will remove defects and leave the paint looking very wet.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I tried it today on my S2000 to get rid of some very fine scratches on the hood. Beautiful stuff! :bigups

As was said, diff pads and diff speeds produce diff results. I LOVE the fact that it removes so easily, unlike many swirl removers that I've tried.

Reminds me a little of Vanilla Moose, very watery and comes off really easily with a swipe of a MF towel.

I used it over the weekend for the first time. When I first used, I thought it was just TOO runny. Closed the flip top, and shook it like crazy for a few minutes...banging the bottom of the bottle against the heel of my hand. When I put some on the pad, it was now the consistancy of warm butter...not runny anymore. I thought the product was pretty good for an OTC polish. Worked well on my metallic Toyota with a light cut pad...followed with a polish pad and VM. I then used the new Nanowax spray. The jury is still out on the Nanowax, but it sure looked good when I was finished!
