Mother's moving upscale?

I was in A&A Auto parts today, looking for some Autometer gauges, and I wandered over into the "products" section to see what interesting stuff they have. Hmmmm. Mothers. :up Always nice to see a quality product among the Turtles and Armors. Chip repair kit; good to see it in the stores! OK, Cal Gold Pure Carnuba Paste... $21.99/12 oz?!! :shocked



That's Griot's/P21S territory, almost!



Not sayin' it isn't worth it, CGPCP's a damn fine carnuba paste, but it was a lot cheaper this spring!

Well, $21.99 for a 12 oz of Mother's is a better deal than $24 for 6.2 oz. of P21S Carnauba! That is a pretty big shocker to see Mother's break the $20 barrier, though I have been very happy recently with Mother's products.

Oops, I didn't know the container size on the P21S. Griot's paste is $19.95 for 8oz.

Hmm, I'm wondering if that price is just the particular store in question. I've seen the same wax for much cheaper in the Cincinnati area. Forrest would know for sure.



Overall, I like Mothers products. The quality is very good for OTC products, better than Meguiars in many respects IMO.

I have to agree with ShowroomLincoln, I've seen it a lot cheaper ($10 range) in the Dallas area.



Pretty good consumer level wax too.

The MSRP for 05550 (without cleaners ) is $20.69.
