Mother's LIQUID Pure Wax

Can I use Mother's LIQUID Pure Cali Gold Wax as a topper on Klasse and Zaino applications, or will the stuff in the liquid be stripping the layers below it?

This is labeled a "pure" wax w/o cleaners.

For topping a sealant I prefer a paste wax, because of the solvents used to make/keep the wax liquid.

Personally, I believe putting a carnauba topper over a synthetic system is detrimental to the synthetic system.



I'd stick with the manufacturer's program, and not mix between carnauba and synthetic among different manufacturers.

After synthetics cure, how is it detrimental to put a wax without cleaning abilities on top of the "synthetic system"?

Other than modifying the appearance of the sealant a bit, I can't think of anything....and if you like the appearance change, it isn't a detriment.

I'm more concerned about mixing different formulations, where there can be unintended after-effects due to dissimilar solvent carriers used.



In other words, using X's carnauba product over Y's synthetic, may remove the synthetic or change it somehow, altering the appearance and/or protective properties.



But, if you like the way it looks, go for it. Make sure it is a carnauba without any cleaner in it, and keep in mind some cleaners are chemical and not mechanical.

Hey I asked the same question about amino-uv. They say that when using polymer sealants like theirs, that you should not put a wax over the sealant. According to their specs, they say that the Liquid Polymer Wax sealant is designed to produce extreme shine and protection, and that most waxes contain refined mineral spirits which is actually what they say to use before the sealant to make sure it bonds properly.
