Mothers in Alberta

Not for you Mothers who we love, but the Mothers products we love- where the heck can I find a good selection of product in Canada(Alberta to be more exact)?

Most of their "authorized dealers" carry limited product; some who are listed are not even dealers!

Canadian Tire cannot order anything they do not stock (even their Business Class dept.), and Acklands ordered Meg's #82(part# 8232) when I asked for Mothers part# 08232- LOL!

I want their 32oz Showtime refill, but would like to avoid buying over the internet if possible. Any help, fellow Canucks?

Try Central Auto Parts in Calgary. THey can special order it (and they haven't placed their season load-in order yet, so getting it for you shouldn't be a problem).

Uh oh... I was looking at this exact product too. I just never got around to ordering any as I'm still using up other QDs and well, it's winter now...

Did you ask the store, or did you ask through the Keystone automotive catalog? (They have to phone Ontario for Keystone stuff.) I even got a price for that product (good deal BTW) and the only worry I had was that I would have to order in a whole case of it, which was the problem I had trying to order a air freshener once.

That's not Grainger as in Acklands-Grainger is it? They don't look like a detailing products type of store...

Acklands does have detailing supplies, but they and Greggs and Bumper-to-Bumper are the kind of stores where they don't have a fancy showroom or storefront. Its more like warehouse business. You have to go up to the counter and ask for what you're looking for because its probably not on the shelf out front. And of the stuff that IS out on the shelf, they usually don't have price tags or bin labels anywhere so you have to go up to the counter anyways just to get a price. I find as an individual (ie. not representing a business account) going to those stores is a PITA, but you can still find good deals there occasionally.

Ah okay, thanks. :) I just know that the one store I've seen looked like it was mostly tools and other industrial stuff, so I didn't think they sold anything detailing related.

That is where I went, and where they ordered Meg's pt#8232 instead of Mothers #08232...

EDIT: Spoke to a fellow at Central Auto Parts, who directed me to Auto Value. That's right- plain 'ol Auto Value. Seems they can special order, just like Forrest said.

God bless the internet.:xyxthumbs

Hi there. I just tried to order from Acklands-Grainger and Uni-Select and they said that the part #'s come up as discontinued, ie. they aren't orderable, and they haven't been active for at least 6 months. I haven't tried Bumper to Bumper yet (none nearby). Do you know of anybody that carried the paint chip repair kit in Canada? Thanks.

Nobody in Canada stocks paint chip, and we don't do a bilingual package.

You can order it from a bunch of on-line e-tailers, though

There are some Mothers products that I like that I can't purchase in Canada because they do not have a bilingual package. Clear Coat wheel Polish and Billet Metal Polish are two of these products.

Forrest why is it Mothers will not provide a bilingual package for some products but will for others?

Why are all these products (CC wheel polish and Chip Repair) listed in the Canadian Tire Keystone catalog then? :nixweiss

I haven't tried ordering them, but I got pricing on the Chip Repair quoted to me once...

Stevet are you sure about the Billet Metal Polish? I've seen that product in person on shelves here myself. I can't recall how much it costs, but if you really want some.......

4DSC,

I asked the guy at the parts counter why Canadian Tire did not stock a lot of the products that they will order for you in the Keystone Catalog? He said that when you order from Keystone you are ordering from the U.S.A.. The stuff Canadian Tire stocks on the shelf is from a Canadian distributor. So if you order from Keystone it's no different than ordering from any of the online stores we order from now. You are importing it from the U.S. like when you order from CMA or Autopia Store.

Where did you see Billet Metal Polish for sale in Canada. I never have.

Hi again, Forrest.

Just to clarify, I gave them #'s for the Cleaner wax and others that are available here on the shelf too, and they said the whole line was discontinued. Just FYI.
