Mothers clay vs Blue Magic clay- anyone used both?

I've used both and it seems to me that mothers is much more malleable and generally seems to be softer. This means its less aggressive right?

I also have a second question, why is it that when I use Mothers, the contamination is black but if I use Blue Magic, the contamination turns the clay yellow?

Funny, I used both and preferred the Blue Magic! Go figure. Recently I tried PoorBoy's World clay and I really liked it.

My blue magic bar never turned yellow. It got black stuff just like the Mother's.

I don't really care for Clay Magic. I had a few questions that I asked them and nothing ever came from it ... all of the times I've used it, it was crumbly, didn't stay together and just a pain. I have seen pictures of CM blue supposidly being very elastic, which is why I emailed CM, but I have never had my CM Blue clay elastic at all... it just breaks apart and crumbles.

As for the yellowing, could it be that there was yellow paint overspray on the car that the clay was removing? I don't see any other way that clay can turn yellow...

I use both of them, as well as others. Just from what I've read on detailing forums, detail clay is only manufactured by a few places, so a lot of it is the same stuff. I get better results on tough areas with the Clay Magic than the Mother's.

I also prefer the Auto Magic, but I'm dealing with things like bug guts, tar stains and industrial fall out. For pre-wax maintenance, I guess I would reach for the mothers stuff.
