Murphy's Oil Soap is available most anywhere- grocery stores, DIY places, WalMart, etc. But make sure you REALLY rinse it out well, that oil is NOT something you want contaminating your pads/finish. *I* would just clean then with Dawn. Mine never get all loaded up like the rotary pads, I don't need to spur them or anything like that, I just take them off and clean them at the sink. Get them wet, work in some Dawn, squeeze it out while rinsing under warm/hot running water. From compounds to wax, this works fine for me.
I don't spin them dry, it seems to kill the velcro and if they fly off they can REALLY get contaminated. That works well with the Cyclo, but not the PC. I'll squeeze them in a cotton towel, but then I just let them air dry.
And while I'm not doing it professionally (now), I use the boar's hair upholstery brush on leather interiors. It's pretty gentle (which is usually good), so sometimes you'll need something more aggressive. From the old Jag to the newish Audis, it works well for me.
