More tips on what NOT to do / Stuff to laugh at

Wax can help remove spots that washing failed to remove. Simply rub the wax on the spot until it comes off, and then continue to wax the rest of the car.

I hope that site is not one of the first results for "how to wax a car."

That pic and #4 are hilarious! Wonder how long it would take to remove if one applied #16 that thick!

Notice the sponge being used in pciture #1? A little heavy on the wax in number 4 as well. Maybe the site is actually operated by a professional detailing outfit somewhere to ensure their job security.

On the bright side the more people who see that site and listen to their tips the more people that will eventually be calling one of us. I for one thank the operator of that wonderful, helpful site.

So who will admit that they made the same mistakes prior to becoming a detail nut? I'm guilty of having applied liquid waxes that thick about 6-8 years ago. I remember using nearly an entire bottle of Gold Class on one car, LMAO.

Never........ gonna admit it :D ;)

" Wash your used towels, cloths and pads with liquid fabric softener to keep them from scratching your car the next time you use them"

And to ruin their absorbency. Mama always said not to wash the towels with fabric softner.

"Don't leave wax on your car for more than 2 hours, or it will be very difficult to remove. Excess wax left on the car can damage the paint, especially if the car is exposed to direct sunlight."

I wonder why it's difficult to remove.

"It's a good idea to lay down a tarp or sheet of some sort and park over it while you wax your car, or have some throw towels to place below the section you are waxing you car on because if the wax drips onto the ground it can be tough to get off, if you are waxing on a painted asphalt driveway especially."

Painted driveway?

"2. Removing Wax from the Cracks Bob

Instead of struggling with a toothbrush, remove wax from the nooks and crannies with a pressure washer before it gets hard. It blows right out, and drying the water off hardens the surface of the wax and improves the shine."

What the....lmao
