how do ya like it?
this morning i finally purchased a gallon of QEW from ranney. i figured that i would first start by using it on my mom's car. i really regret not taking any before pics, but from what i cam tell, QEW works, and works well. as a couple of you mentioned, i should rinse with QEW also, so i wont dilute the QEW with additional water, so i went ahead and did that. heres a couple tips that i picked up while going through this ordeal...
listerine bottle: something i just figured out last nite. the cap to the large listerine bottle is exactly 1 oz, which makes it easy for measuring QEW. you can store the QEW in the listerine bottle, and it wont spill if the cap is on. when you want to dilute the QEW, just use one capfull of QEW per gallon water, doesn't get any eaiser than that. just make sure someone in the family doesnt garggle the QEW
S&W: i picked up this tip from the roadrunner herself. spray S&W onto the car before you start with QEW. not only does it seem to break down the dirt, but i feel it actually acts as a lube for the QEW. the reason i did not dilute QEW + S&W was because i just ran out of my gallon of S&W, and i have only one spray bottle left of it
. anyways, that method seemed to have worked really well for me, especailly on the caked dirt.
it was hot outside, and no one was crazy enough to try washing their car, except me :band
and now the pictures. typical reflection pic.. blue bucket = QEW, baige bucke = QEW for rinsing :badabum
heres a picture of the rinse bucket with QEW. in reality, it wasnt really THAT dirty, but i think the flash really made it look a lot thicker than it was, however, it still was dirty.
