More feedback on website

Very straight and too the point. It's easy to read and there's no fluff to detract from the site. One thing that I found that maybe a mistake was that the "HOME" button link takes you to a page not related to your business.

Looks good, might I suggest using your best photo

Nice looking site. Did you do it yourself? I really like your logo. I liked that I could find just about everything that I would want to find, as a prospective client.

- The blinking has got to go. It is driving me nuts. If I were a potential customer it would be a complete turnoff.
- The font on the links at the top of the page are hard to read.
- Why are last name and phone number required fields in the contact form?
- There should be a whole lot more keywords on your home page for the search engines 'bots to find. You might want to include Alamosa, St. Luis Valley, Colorado, and your zip code.
- Do you have a "mission statement" that you could put somewhere?
- If you put some more text on your homepage, which repeats your keywords, the search engines will usually rank you higher.
- The links page is nice. You might want to add some more links. I've been told that if there are a lot of links to similar pages, you will rank higher in the search engines.
- You might want to put your biz hours.

Great advice Taxlady, I made the site for VAC as a class project I needed to do.
I also heard the same thing about the links ranking you higher in search engins.
As for the meta tags or (keywords) what I used were just thrown up there so my professor knew that I knew where they went, I was, and am, going to add more thanks for reminding me

The blinking is in the links at the bottom of the page. The email addy blinks; "Click on map for larger view" on the directions page blinks; and I'm sure there was more.
Pretty good job for a first time website. I've seen "professionally" done sites that weren't as complete or as easy to navigate. It is also esthetically pleasing.

I agree: the blinking links have to go.
You are defining certain styles in the Library/links.css style sheet, including the blinking links.
Also, you might want to reduce the size of the image on the main page, it's a hefty 52k...not a problem with people with a high speed connection but you always have to remember about the modem users.

Sorry, I didn't relize the rollovers on the links would be so painful to veiwers but thats an easy fix, as sudaca mentioned they were done through a .css style sheet.
As for the image on the main page, I kept it the same size, but I did reduce the quality making it a more accepatable 22k.

I didn't think about it much, but I agree on the removing last name and phone as required info. Some folks will just want an email back and will just put junk in that field. You could add a block for how they prefer to be contacted, by email or by phone (or mail).
You get lots of bonus points from me for having the phone number right on the front page. It's amazing how many companies don't even post a phone number anywhere.
