monzerna/Zaino question

My friend has a car that is pretty swirl free but just to help with any small swirls I was thinking about using Monzerna Glaze and topping that with a couple coats of Z-2. Thoughts? Thanks.

I've used both products many times, but not together... I usually top menz glaze with a carnauba and usually put z2 over zaio

Zaino won't bond very well over a glaze, it might look OK, but the durability will be lacking. If using a glaze I also top it with a carnauba wax.

I've used Zaino over Menzerna Final Touch Glaze before. The Z2 lasted about two weeks before it was completely gone. That was three coats of ZFX'd Z2.

Hard to believe.

For a glaze, I'd top with a carnauba; Zaino should be applied over an oil free surface.

By applying Zaino sealants over an oily glaze of any type reduces the Z sealant to no more than a carnauba-containing product in terms of the Z2/5's ability to tightly bond. This type of application would like last about the same as a carnauba protectant, 2-4 weeks. :(

What you might try is applying the Z5/ZFX x 3 one day, apply a thin layer of a relatively low oil glaze the next day or after next wash, Z6 lightly and apply a coat of Z2PRO.

The Z5Pro x 3 will do some minor filling, the glaze a little more filling, the "lite" Z6 wipe-down will remove the majority of the non-filling (surface) glaze leaving enough "clean" surface for the Z2PRO to bond.

AFAIK, Menzerna Glaze is acrylic, or at least non-oily, correct? While it wouldnt provide max durability it may look good. I've used Danase Wet Glaze under Zaino with zero problems.
