I was wondering what you guys do as far as regular customers. Do you guys offer a package where you guys get paid once a month? a year? Do you guys include a detail every three- six months? For example: do a full detail initially and then weekly washes with wax job every two months all included in a monthly statement. Do you guys offer a discount for this type of deals?

Hello there. You're just a hop down the road from me. I work out of San Antonio.



As far as monthly deals go I have a mixture of clients. Some pay me by the job and others pay me a salary each month.



I get $35 to $45 for a hand wash and every month I give them a mini-detail which is usually a engine rinse and dressing if needed, leather, spot clean carpets, polish and wax or just a wax or maybe a re-application of a sealant. This runs from $65 to $85.



For my salary clients they pay me a set amount each month rain or shine. This money gets me through the rainy days which we have alot of right now in Texas as I am sure you know.

I've read several of your posts here and at another site. Always enjoy reading them. I just started this business about 6 weeks ago. It started out well, but the weather this past several weeks has really slowed things down. Good thing I still have my day job.
 
I have a maintenance plan that some of my customers use. Once I detail their car, I'll come out twice a month and do a wash/vac/dress tires, do any interior spot detailing necessary and wax about 1/4th of the vehicle. Over the period of two months, the car is completely detailed. Since I really keep on top of the interiors, they never get bad and take more than 10 minutes to do what is needed after vacuuming. Same with the exterior. Maybe 5-10 minutes max to wax. I charge anywhere from $40 (Miata's, Z-3's) to $60 (SUVs).



I've only got a few people on that now since I already have so much regular business I need to keep slots open for csutomers who only get their vehicles done a few times a year. I already have Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, all day Thursday, Friday morning and all day Saturday filled by standing weekly appointments.
 
Initial full details, running from 150.00 to 215.00, include polymer sealant. Weekly washes run from 30.00-40.00, includes a quick detail, consisting of wash/carnauba topper, rim cleaning, interior wipedown and vacuum, spot cleanings, clean all glass.....1.5 hrs of work...Its entirely up to your client as to what they want, and I will work a plan around that....I have a full time job as it is, detailing is a hobby with good income potential for me...But is limited to Fri-Sun.....Im booked thursday eve, Fri morning, Saturday Afternoon....! Tons of fun, I tell ya !

Once you get your initial detail performed, the rest is fairly EZ....
