Montego Blue RX7 Refresher

25 degrees out today, so I thought I'd get outside and get my paint looking a bit better than it was. Got new tires mounted yesterday, so the paint had to be up to par too! I did a one step polish on it when I got the car about a month ago, and it cleared up maybe 75-80% of the defects, but there was still some light swirling and RIDS left, so I went to work on that today. Process was pretty much just OC on a yellow edge wool, via rotary, followed up by an OC/OP mix on a white CCS pad via rotary.

What most of the paint looked like before

Very nice! I had no idea that Montego blue was used on Mazda's other than the Miata, awesome color, ain't it?

Ok, shock of my life yesterday when the sun was on it again.... :| I thought I had the paint perfectly defect and hologram free since I was working on it directly in the sun right? Apparently NOT, good thing I only did the left half.

What pad and polish combo made those holograms?

Edit: oops, sorry, it is in the original post.

Well....I finally got around to killing those holograms on the left side.... haha took me long enough eh?
