Peformed an oil change on the daily driver 2002 sentra today and it needed a wash.

I wetsanded the headlights on saturday and then drove it on wet streets yesterday home from the "neon" detail.

So i was washing it and figured a quick clay and wax shouldn't take too long

Wash - Megs GC shampoo

Clay - Meg's Clay

Wax - Liquid # 26 on a gray pad via PC

The # 26 will be good enough for now. I have not been able to detail any of the "home" cars yet this year, i know, i know bad me :(

But this is hold it over until i get my OCW which is on its way, then i'll polish and apply the OCW :spot

Like i said in the previous post, none of the "home" cars have been taken care of, including my camaro. since i moved from chicago to elgin ( 40 miles NW of where i was )

the camaro now gets the garage. I barely drive it anymore, sucks *** !!

About 6k miles in the last 19 months, 700 in the last 3 months :(

Anyways, it is covered with dust, has water drip marks from the garage door, and splash marks because the friggin' sprinklers for the "island" grass areas around the development water the streets more than the grass, so i can't avoid driving through it :sosad

Enough for the rant, this is going to be this weeks project ( hopefully ) :2thumbs:

Probably shouldn't drive in water anyways....What brand of tires are those, Maypop's?

I don't drive in water, but as said before, the roads in my development were wet.

They are not good for anything but dry roads :getdown

super traction :spot

Mickey Thompson E.T. Street drag radials. kinda worn, about 55 % or so.

A friend of mine had them on his camaro, and found a deal for new ones, so i got his "slightly" used ones :2thumbs:

i'm not saying it is but i always thought that the emblem on your camaros' hood meant that it was a Berlineta (6 cyl.) but with your meats it apears its a v8?

i'm a camaro-holic, but i was not really schooled in all the emblems.

I think on all 3rd and 4th gen camaros they had that emblem on / around the front bumper.

and yes, she is a V 8 :hifive:

Great job of the DD....the camaro looks like it needs your love. Take your time and be patient. My Acura which is my DD/ONLY car got the special treatment of close to 15 hours over 3 days! Cant wait to see after pics of your car when its done!

Zane - we moved last year around this time, late september to be exact, house was ready and 95 % of stuff was moved the 1st week of July, but i stayed at the other house since it was close to work and my g/f.

I don't think i'll be spending 3 days on the camaro, but it will be getting some well needed attention. swirls are minimal so that should help out.

I think i'm going with IP, VM, then some WG, BUT now that the OCW should be here this week, i do not know which to use.

I liked the way WG looked on my color better than the CMW from clearkote.

Maybe an initial coat of WG and then some OCW after a week or so,

will it bond ??

Geat beading...it rained here in Northern Va and after the intial rain I went outside to check on the beading...That's the ONLY time I look forward to it raining is so i can see the beads and sheeting!! LOL
