I was undecided what was going to be my present for me mom even until Saturday evening. So I thought, great, I could detail my mom's car.

2004 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited, Blue Mirage Metallic. There was not a lot of swirls but there were some on the hood.

Gold Class Wash

EO A2Z wheel cleaner

NXT Wax

RainX on windows

NXT Insane Tire Shine

AA on the wheel walls

I'm only 15, btw... More of the Highlander Pics next.

I was given this detail job by my dad. I made some $$, too.

2004 Toyota Highlander w/ ~15,000 miles on it in Indigo Ink Pearl

The costumer stated that swirl removal was not a biggie and waxing it was more of a priority.

The car was never waxed, had a lot of physical damage, etching, and lots of stuck on guck.

I did:

Gold Class Wash

AA Wheel Cleaner

Mothers Clay Bar

ColorX

NXT

NXT Insane Tire Shine

I used the PC with the ColorX.

It looked much better.

I did both of the cars yesterday and both sat outside last night so pardon the pollen. Oh and NXT Insane tire shine seemed much more shinier on the Highlander than on my Sienna.

I see everything on the screen. I'm using Internet Explorer and it's all fine but FireFox can't show them.

I only get to see the last picture in TRD-22's second post?? All the other pictures are just showing as "x's" for me too.

The one pic I can see, the results look good tho.

Thanks everybody.

I get weird looks for having an obsession with detailing since I'm rather young. Oh well, atleast I have the best looking cars.

The Highlander, imo, was a PITA. The way the lower panels curved into the body made claying very inconvenient. Though the Sienna has more metal to work with, atleast the panels are relatively flat.

Looking good!

I was in Madison on Saturday for a burger and then went to the movies at Headquarters in MoTown.

When I was 15, the girls I was friends with would make fun of my friends and I when we all gathered in my driveway to detail :p That was a long time ago.

Thanks!

Ironically enough, my mom didn't understand that this was suppose to be a gift. And I quote her "You and you dad detail the cars so much that the novelty has worn off." :p

So I had to explain it to her on how this was a gift. :chuckle:
