Mobile Trailers

:huh To those with mobile rigs or that are considering making a mobile rig. Will you post up pictures, how much it took to make it and how happy you are with it? Also, any lessons learned, i.e. what would you do differently next time and any other information you think would be helpful to someone making their own mobile trailer.

Thank you,

John

I'm also interested in hearing this! I currently have an 11' long trailer that is entirely too big for our outfit at the time. We can fit twice the amount of stuff on it that we have now. I'm looking for something around a 9' or 8' trailer. Let's see what you people have.
Thanks!

Here are some pics of my trailer. I bought everything seperatly and I paid a little less than 3k for everything- shop vac, compressor, tank, generator, pressure washer, hoses, all the hardware, shelving, and the trailer itself. I dont think i have had any real problems except for the hose that i used to connect my pressure washer to the tank i had to switch out because i used reg. garden hose and it kinks too easily, use heavy duty tubing there so you dont burn up your pump.

:yeah , i dont know why i cant seem to figure how to use the attachment tool but anyways, thanks for the help.

Hmm, yeah I was considering some kind of mobile setup myself. Problem is, I just have a 91 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, and I have limited space in the back. The last thing I want to put in there, would be cleaning products, because I know what happens after a nasty spill O.o. Anyhow, I could consider some kind of protective mat, but I would much rather some kind of utility vehicle. As for money, I doubt I could afford such a thing.

Ah well, I think ill stick to my garage for the time being...

Could your budget afford a second (what I call) hooptie? I have a second truck to pull our trailer bc I also drive a Acura Integra which would NOT pull our heavy trailer.

Hb realy nice set up! How much was the trailer? Where did you get the trailer it's self? That is much nicer than I was thinking and in about the same price range!

Also Ill save some cash because the person across the street is giving me a compressor and I already own a shopvac. Granted we are not talking about saving a mint but it something!

Keep it coming I know there is more than one~

I really shopped around to get everything i could at a good deal. I paid about $1300 for the trailer. It is an Az-Tec Trailer ( I think thats how it is spelled) I bought it in Fontana Ca. I dont know if there is any other dealers around.

My setup is almost the same as yours. My trailer is a Hallmark 6x10 with the drop down door in the rear and the usual side door. I pull it with an 02 Isuzu Trooper LS. I'll attatch pictures too if someone would let me know how to do it on my next post. :phone:

I guess that I can chime in...My Setup is an open 11' trailer that I got from my partners father. It was previously used for construction equipment and even well cared for! We are looking for a smaller 6' x 8' or so open trailer that we can use because the 11' is very heavy but holds a ton of junk!

Nice set up. I like that. I see you don't use a pump for feeding the pressure washer any problems? What kind of generator? And how loud is it?

Very nice. I might have to give that a thought. Thanks for the pics and ideas.

What was the name of that trailer company or web site info please. I searched the Az-Tec with no luck I really would like to find out more info.

Thanks

I have a Car Mate 5 x 8 enclosed trailer with rear double doors and a side door. I paid $2700 for it brand new, as well as an aditional $1000 to have electronic breaks installed and a break away pin and battery. Inside I have a 125 gal water tank, surflo pump, 2K PSI pressure washer, 5500 Watt Generatior 1 Shelving unit, auto retract air pressure hose, air compressor, hot water extractor, 1K watt halogen lighting, extension cords, buckets...some pegboard, 3 hose hangars for different hoses and such and a shop vac. Needless to say it is pretty packed in there (in my eyes anyhow). I also have a small aluminum 2ft platform inside. I'm going to make or buy some sort of roof rack for the top of the trailer so I can put a larger ladder on top for when I do boats.

Those of you with open trailers, do you store them in a garage or do you place a tarp over them to keep the pw and generator safe?

My mistake, the trailer is made by Aztex, not Az-Tec, i hope this helps. The generator is a Coleman and the noise is bearable. Ive never used any other generator so i have nothing to compare it too. The compressor i have is the liittle twin tank that you can buy from pepboys for like $60 or something, i really dont use it as much as i thought i would, i normally just use my leaf blower.
