Mobile or Building

I'm curious as to which you pros think is better in an apples to apples scenario. So, would you rather have a one bay shop with a lease payment the same as a vehicle or the vehicle?
1. Is being mobile a big enough advantage to counter the drive time and set up time?
2. Which do you think would be easier to advertise?
3. Can you detail a car quicker in a shop or is it just as quick in the field?
4. Is pricing affected?
5. Does weather play a part?

I'm sure I left a lot out so feel free to give any input.

I myself have my own shop...which I like very much.
I don't know which one others prefer...but I like a building better than being mobile.
I built my shop right next to my home so all I have to do is walk out my door and I am
in my office. lol

I work out of my garage and love it over mobile. I like a controlled area to work in that is lighted for what I'm doing. The advantages of mobile that I can see is. The convenience of the customer by going to them. I run a pickup and delivery for that reason. As for advertising mobile is great its a rolling ad for them

I also have my biz name on my vehicle...on the 2 back side windows...
It is good advertising since I do pick up and delivery...when it is sitting it is like a billboard.

im doing the same as beemer . the plus is im home with the family . negative is i have to go out and generate buisness sometimes . but word is getting around about my operation . i keep broucheres and buisness cards at a truck accessories store and it has helped alot .. i do stuff for the owner and its been a good thing

I own a mobile detailing company. It really works well for me. I like the exposure when you are in a large office complex detailing. You can go there with one car schedule, and spend the entire day there. Also, your customers will love the convience that you are offering to them.
