Are there any small business owners out there who would be willing to talk shop with me?

Looking for input, advice etc for growing my business. I am not new to this. I`ve been at it for 16 years.

1. Do you have garage keepers insurance? Why or why not.

2. Are you an llc or sole proprietor?

sole proprietor Is easier especially if u use your name in the business title. People can write u checks. If u don’t use your name in business. You will have to file with your state for a fictitious name to cash checks made out to your company.
 
LLC simply for the thought of a lawsuit for some reason. Separates personal/business assets. If you are a single member LLC with no employees, for tax purposes, the irs will handle it like you are a sole proprietor and you claim all income on your personal taxes each year.

in Michigan setting up an LLC cost $50. After that, each year you file an annual report which basically just says “yes I’m still operating,” for $25.
