Well it been a fair few weeks since my car has had a wash let alone a good detail. My car also needed a little DIY fix on the bumper from a half house brick incident.
I have just also had some work done to the car, new ARB arms new rear tyres and centre section. So here is the befores, the birds don’t seem to like my clogged up gutters so they throw the contents of it over my car!
Total time took 8hrs
So the process to clean was soak the car in super snow foam using suds blaster gun and then wash with two bucket method and Schmitt. Wheels treated to a mix of wheel brightner and wheel brush, archers treated to poorboys APC.
Then the car was dried with pakshak WW towels and megs last touch as lube and drying aid.
Then a clean inspection of the damage to my car, I had been quoted £85 for a blow in job but the bumper has a few stone chips and I will have it all re-done properly after this year so I had a DIY attack on the issue.
(some nice swirling and marring on the bumper too)
I then clayed the area and re-washed, I then touched up the area with a OEM paint stick.
I then re-filled it again 24hrs later to make the new paint proud. I then soaked the megs w&d for a couple of hrs and used xxxxx liquid as lube and then flattened the new paint down. I also tacked a couple of stone chips too.
I then got out the PC and with 4” orange LC light cut pad and SSR2.5 I got this.
As you can see you can still see it but 100% better. I then polished the whole car with 6.5” white LC pad and SSR2.5, I then ran over with Megs #80 speed glaze and then gave it a coat of Megs #7 and topped off with a coat of Nattys blue and a coat of p21 two hrs later. I then cleaned the exhaust with autosol and 00 wirewool then a couple of coats of megs NXT metal polish.
The inside was hovered and then treated to TW touch dry finish. The wheels where clayed and then treated to a coat of EX-P and a layer of TW nano wheel wax. Tyres treated to endurance gel so was the bump strips and the archers treated AG dressing. Here are the afters.
Hope you like.
