Mixing Spray waxes...let's say AW+OCW..

I’ve been wondering if you guys often mix spray waxes together to make a "super spray wax" that capitalizes on both the strengths of each individual wax.

I mean like AW and OCW are two very recognized & loved spray waxes. Have you guys ever made a 50:50 AW+OCW Spray wax solution and found it to be even better than each on their own?

I know that often the chemical makeup of the liquids have to be "compatible" ( I tried mixing melted #26 with AW once--> #26 just sank to the bottom) in order for the spray waxes to mix homogenously, however id' like to know if you guys tried it with AW OCW before?

Was there a noticeable difference? Worse? Better?

OCW and JW Carnuaba Jett used to make a nice combo. Haven't tried it in a while and not with the new version of OCW. I think that Scottwax was the one that turned people onto that combo.

I have my doubts as to the feasibility of doing this having a positive effect on anything.

Agree ... just messing up the chemistry ... could actually end up useless.

You will achieve nothing but cloudy build-up with TOO many products ...so beware. once you get build-up it needs to be re-polished off with a finish pad.

Wouldn't a wipe down with rubbing alcohol do the same?

Alcohol will remove build up and dull the surface for rewaxing with one product. One thing polishing with a finish pad does is EVEN the surface so you dont get shadows and build up. You get a nice flat uniform look even in bright sun light.

One I've been meaning to try is BF spray sealant with Werkstat CJ or CG. Should be like a spray version of BF Midnight Sun.

wow, what in the world are you talking about?

If I had a dime for every time someone said something like this about one of Paintxpert's posts, I would be a very rich man..
