Misc ?s about Zaino & PolyCharger Prods

Got a couple questions...

* ZAIO is compatible with non-Zaino LSP's, correct? Specifically interested in trying PolyCharged FMJ over a base of ZAIO.

* What is the purpose of PolyCharging Z6? What has been your results of doing so?

* Can Z8 (either full strength or dilluted) be PolyCharged, and what have your results been? The compatibilty chart does not list Z8...

* When using a PolyCharged sealant (Z5, FMJ), is curing accelerated, and if so to about how long? I'm interested in putting on 2+ fully cured layers of either Z5 or FMJ (PolyCharged).

Thanks for your input...

Can't speak to some of the other questions, but I don't believe you'll see accelerated curing with Polycharger. It's a polymer additive, unlike say ZFX, which is a catalyst/accellerant meant to work specifically with the Zaino formula.

If you have ZFX, you *should* be able to apply one or two layers of ZFXed Z5, then top with the Polycharged FMJ shortly thereafter (although I'd give it at least an hour or so). The ZFXed layers should, in theory, cure rapidly, then you could finish with FMJ.

I'm speculating, though, as I've not tried it, so grain of salt, YMMV, etc.

if you use ZAIO you can apply one layer of Z5pro without ZFX. ZFX is needed for multiple layers in one day. I personally don't see the need to try polycharger in Z8. I'd put an ounce of Z8 in a small mister bottle and add a couple drops of ZFX. Polycharged FMJ would probably be an improvement over regular FMJ.

OK, thanks for the inputs... how about this question...

I've been using Polycharged Z6 on my yellow Corvette and the results have been significant. I would recommend using it in Z6.

It left a slicker surface and enhanced shine when side by side with regular Z6.

After I saw Wannafbody's Corvette, I tried the Polycharged Z6 and I agree that it makes a big difference with the slickness and the car has remained cleaner, longer. However I put it on a silver car and I can't honestly say that I could see any difference in the appearance.

I wish I had a Vette. Maybe it was BlackZ28's vette.

Sorry, I recall someone with a yellow Corvette which had just received some awards at a car meet who used 2 coats Z6 polycharger. The car looked great and convinced me to Polycharge some Z6 and I liked it better than Z8.

It wasn't my M. Yellow Z06.

I have mixed the beta-PC-H2O with Z6 and Z8 and only noticed a slight difference in slickness of the Z6. No change in the Z8 performance or appearance. Z8 with ZFX seems to evolve its final appearance level faster (curing) than just Z8 alone. Final appearance is the same for both methods.

I have experience a nice difference with adding PC-H2O to Z16 (tire dressing). Even though I have not experienced any durability problems with Z16 alone, Z16 with PC-H2O appears to be even more durable. :D

PC-CH2 with Z5 seems to be a wasted activity and only makes Z5, like many products I beta tested, a lot more difficult to spread evenly. This can be a serious problem for dark colored vehicles. No change in drying time or final resulting appearance with the Z5/PC-CH2 combo.

PC-CH2 enabled products "do" buff of quite easily and adds slickness.

Durability??? Z5 already last longer than most Autopians can stand not re-applying another layer.

If durability claims are valid, FMJ will definitely benefit with PC-CH2 added to the mix in terms of durability. FMJ is already extremely slick after application and any gains in this department will not be noticeable.

Can you elaborate on this? I've been considering trying PolyCharger with Z-16. Any change in appearance? How long does Z-16 last for you without PolyCharger versus with it? Did you get a chance to try the beta RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel (Ultima)? If so, how does it compare to the Z-16/PolyCharger combo?
