Customer stopped by our shop one day and after looking at how great all the cars looked, he wanted us to give his '47 the same treatment. Customer really wanted the paint looking better than it was without having to paint it. With it being an all black car, I knew this was going to be right up his alley of an improvement. Since I had won the HD Clink'n'Brag thread, i got a box of goodies from them. Which combined with the HD products I already had...I could do a full job using one brand of products. Decided this would be a cool car to test that out on.
Everything used for this job from HD.
Wash - Chemical Guys Citrous Wash
Clay - DI Clay Block
HD Touch - Clay Lube <---- Amazing product. I will be buying a gallon. Works great as a clay lube, but also as a quick detailer. Cleans quickly and leaves a nice finish with no residue.
HD Adept - Cutting Step <---- Great AIO product. Can double as a cutting polish and as a AIO polish for 1-Step really hard clears. Leaves almost no dust and a great finish. Great gloss as well.
HD Polish - Polishing Step. <---- This product has been out awhile. One of the best finishing polishes, great for 1-Steps as well. Only down side is its dusting.
HD Metal - Rim Polishing <---- Great metal polishing. Cleans up medium stains with ease and leaves a great finish behind.
HD Glass - Windows <---- Amazing glass cleaner. I think the vinegar in it helps. Will be buying more of this stuff.
HD Dressing - Tires <---- Good dressant. Need to test on more than just tires. lol
HD Poxy - Sealing <---- Been out for years. Still using it. Says it all.
After the car was inside and cleaned up, ready to get corrected. Got some pictures of it. Black was looking pretty dull.

Wheels prior to being polished.

After buffing on them with HD Metal, they made a huge turn around. They looked 100x better in person. HD Metal cut really well and left a great finish behind. Topped with HD Poxy, the metal looks great.

After cutting with HD Adept, finishing down with HD Polish and sealing with HD Poxy, this paint looked amazing.

Brought it outside into the sun to get some good shots of this car.
