I kind of stumbled upon this polish and after doing a search here, I didn't find any references to it so I thought I'd take a chance and try it out. After browsing Tropi-Care's website, turns out that the guy behind it was at one time one of the top 5 Zaino distributors in the US. Anyway, he's local to me so I picked up a bottle of the polish.
I prepped the car with a Dawn bath (Although I didnt want to but I wanted to follow his instructions) and dried it off with a WW towel.
I applied the polish with a PC using a Lake Country polishing pad (Orange). The polish is very thin and has a somewhat fruity smell (Cherry) which seems to be the trend these days. It spreads very easily with the PC and getting a thin coat was very easy. For laughs I applied some by hand as well and it also spreads thin by hand.
Drying time on this polish is amazing. It is completely dried withn 30 seconds to 1 minute of applying. I've never seen anything dry as fast as this stuff does. There is no waiting time to remove it (At least per the instructions) so you can do a car pretty quickly with the polish.
Removal of the polish was also very easy. I used a MF towel and removed the polish by hand. Usually a single pass with the MF will remove the polish, two passes for sure. I did notice a very small amount of dusting when removing the polish but it wasn't a large amount. The polish leaves a very slick feel on the paint. As for appearance, I have to compare it to Zaino and NXT because that's what it reminds me of.
I've got some pictures here, so I thought rather than resize them and put them in the post, I'd just link them. 56K Warning, they're very large.
I talked with Steve today about the polish, specifically about layering. He told me that the polish will layer, which was one of my concerns because the polish does contain petrolium distolates. But, he said it will layer and that you wont just keep removing one layer as you apply another.
We also got a little rain today so I could see how it handled the water. It beads in very tight droplets. Far as durability, I guess we'll see. Steve said Steve L from gurureports is also testing the polish so I guess that will be the final word on the stuff.
Anyways, once I can get the pictures downsized and write up a formal review, Ill submit it but I was really impressed with this polish so I wanted to put up a mini review of it for now.
