Mini Cooper Detail vs. Late Night

Pinnacle Detailing Owner
Hello everyone. I am a couple days late on posting this one, but I thougth it was worthy of a thread. I started this mini at 4pm on Tuesday night, and finally finished at about midnight. I only had a couple days left of school, (none now!) so it didnt bother me to much. I did full int, out and engine on it. It took a long time finding a good first step for this car to remove some of the deep scratches it had. Finally, after about an hour, I found the combo I needed. I have to say Zaino is growing on me, and I cant wait to try the new Z5pro.

** Big thanks to joyride for his assitance via phone to pop the hood **

Questions/Comments?

Man, Hyper Dressing is the best stuff made.
I have 3 bottles....1:1,3:1, and 4:1 for all of my customers wants and needs.
Just love how those tires look. Like new.....not slimy.

Overall......one of the best exterior details I've seen.

Got any interior pics?

Greg, The Mini Cooper looks Sweeeet :bigups . how did you like the
PO85RD. Does it have any cuttting power?

justin - I didnt take any interior pics, it wasnt to bad to start with. Thanks for the great comments.

Joe p - po85rd cuts about as much as FPII. So it doesnt have a ton of cut, but it can handle light swirls, and holograms, and of course it finishes perfectly.

I need to pick up something with some cutting power.
I did use IP and absolutely like it,cut nice plus finished up nice..

Wow, the transformation on the front wheels was amazing. So Greg, how do you like the KIT wash in the foam gun? Just curious. Great job on that car by the way.

I really like that black cherry color. I have been looking at the Toyota FJ
Cruiser in that color. I like it a lot. Your detail looks great as usual. You are
a craftsman for sure.

I have seen many difficult details Greg has posted that many people may not have even attempted and all of them
show the work of a true proffesional. I'm not taking anything away from the other teens who detail, but at 17 years old Greg definately has the skills and work ethics of a pro,Congrats to you, also your parents :bigups

Good stuff, I use about 2 oz of wash, and the rest water, plenty of suds for me. The paint lacks slickness afterwards though.

Looks good. I love fresh deep colors.

17 years old? Fooled the hell out of me, Looks like you have more years of experience than years you've been alive. I too am 17.

LOL, yes I got to pick it up and drive it to my house. It felt like a manual but it was automatic. Im sure you know what i mean by that. I really liked the car, and it responded well to a little acceleration. If it was bigger I would think of it being a next car for me.

On the issue of were to buy hyper dressing the sponsers have it, Autogeek.net or Detailcity.com

It only took and hour to get the right product, eh? Looks like you did it proud. Optimum and Hi-Temp, eh? Cannot wait until October. Then I can order some of those products

Wonderful looking detail.:D

The wheels are a stand out. Engine compartment is as shiny as a new penny. Very close quarters in that compartment. The paint is dripping wet with a glow. Z5 is one of my favorites although I very seldom use it on some one else's vehicle. Try to save that look for the wife's vehicle and the Black truck when in Texas.

Am anxious for you to give Z5Pro a shot before I get back to Texas. Will look forward to your comments. I value them!!!

Thanks Kirk! The xtreme cut and opti combo is pretty much for only really bad defects or scratches. The opti lets me work the xtreme cut longer which is nice. As soon as I get the z5pro and try it out, I will post up my thoughts.
