This was a repeat customer, first time on this Mini though. It was a fun car to work on and the compact size made it easy to work around.

Products used

Wheels, tires, wheel wells:

Optimum Car Soap & Carpro IX Snow Soap (1 oz each)

3D BDX

Meguiar’s Non Acid Wheel & Tire Cleaner @ 2:1

Various brushes – Adam’s Fender Brush, Adam’s Wheel Face Brush, Boar’s hair brush, wheel woolies, Tuff Shine tire brush

Griot’s Garage Vinyl & Rubber Dressing

Gyeon Wetcoat (LSP)

Wash:

Carpro IX Snow Soap & Optimum Car Soap (1 oz each)

Ammo Boost (.5 oz)

Decontamination:

3D BDX x2

Adam’s Visco Clay

Meguiar’s D114 for clay lube

Trim:

Mother’s Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner

Griot’s Garage Vinyl & Rubber Dressing

Exhaust:

Meguiar’s APC 1:4

EZ Detail Brush

0000 Steel Wool

Mother’s Mag & Aluminum Polish

Ultima Paint Sealant

LSP:

Menzerna Powerlock

Interior (sorry, no pics):

Vacuum

Adam’s Total Interior Detailer

Floor mats were hosed off and washed with Meguiar’s Non Acid Wheel & Tire Cleaner (yes really, this is a very effective plastic & rubber cleaner)

Other:

Tar X

Plastic Razor

Rupes Glass Cleaner

Ultima Paint Sealant

Total time:

~4 hours

There was nothing really crazy on this detail. The car desperately needed to be decontaminated, I don’t think it had ever seen a clay bar before. I soaked it in BDX twice since there was so much purple everywhere. The reason behind the multiple soaps is that I like the IX Soap to give everything a stronger bite when cleaning. Ammo Boost has something in it where it greatly reduces water spotting.

Thanks for looking, questions & comments welcome.

Nice work! Like Heisenberg said- I would have thought for how neglected it looked that there would have been permanent damage to the wheels or exhaust.

Thanks!

Thanks, yeah, I took one look at them and thought `oh man I don`t want to be scrubbing these all day...`

Did my neighbor`s Mini Cooper S. We never realized the the interior of the wheels is actually a different whitish color to the face of the wheels! The brakes really seem to throw out a lot of dust.
