mildew on a pad

Just found a pad that I apparently put in a Ziploc (wasn't sealed) when it was still wet. It's an LC Yellow, but now it's about 75% green:shocked Mildew, baby...mildew.

It has only been used once so I hate to toss it. Can I soak it in bleach & then wash it normally? Will bleach screw it up? Any ideas-I don't know that my Charlie's APC will take it out.

Oh yeah, and it

reeks!

Rock on! :woot:

I'll give you $50.00 to lick it! :p (Something my friends and I would bring up. My friend for $120 ate a heaping tablespoon of wasabi)

Unfortunately bleach is basically the only thing that you'll find in your house that permanetly kills mildew. Hopefully it wont damage the pad. I would wear gloves and gently massage the pad until it comes clean.

I would try soaking it in water and some bleach. Not too much bleach. You don't need a lot. Maybe a 1/4 cup to a couple gallons of warm water.

I would rinse in a fresh bleach solution with even less bleach for a moment. Maybe a couple tablespoons to a couple gallons of water and then rinse well under the faucet.

Or, you can chuck it in the washing machine on a delicate cycle with some bleach like you do your laundry.

I think the key to not damaging the pad is not drowning it in bleach. I don't have any experience cleaning this way, but this is my recommendation for what its worth.

Good luck! :)
