Hey guys, I met up with a buddy this weekend, I'm a Cyclo/PC noob, and decided that I wanted to clean up my WRX for the first time since I've had it, in the past month of ownership I've washed it, but I haven't "detailed" it. So here are a few pics, the only products I had with me were Klasse AIO, and UPP, so thats what I used, and I was very happy, I don't know if this is as red as it can get, but I couldn't believe how much AIO cut down on my swirls, my hood was TERRIBLE from the dealer, and though its still not autopian I was alot happier after I was done..Does it fill or did I actually remove some of the swirls with it? I did work it in and take my time.

The rims were cleaned with Meguiars Hot Wheels All wheel cleaner, and dressed with Turtle Wax Platinum, on my Rims I used the new Black Magic spray foam wax because it really makes metallics pop and my rims are painted with a silvery metallic color, and it doesn't haze up, so I quick spray and wipe and they bling, I kinda learned that on accident and I stick with it, as everyone comments on the wheels and how they stand out for just being a boring silver rim.

The Car: 2006 San Remo Red WRX Limited

Mods: SPT Intake, Magnaflow 3inch Exhaust, Invidia V.3 Downpipe, Cobb Accessport Engine Management with Stage 2 map. The other car in the pics speaks for itself..Laguna Seca Blue, it only came on one car, lol.

Sorry about the quality the picture resize I did killed it, but you get the idea.

Nothing like Mirrored Subaru Orange peel.

Don't mind the PC out in the yard lol, I used it for cleaning up some metal parts with the stock PC pad.

Nothing to special but I'm learning, and I was really upset with the dealer prep, and it really if anything helped my autopian ego when I was done as I had really changed how nice the car looked. Thanks for looking, comments are welcome, product suggestions as well. Next time I attempt actual swirl correction on a few panels! :)

Thanks, means alot coming from you, I think your car pretty much made me buy a WRX, wingless with the roof vane spoiler had me at first sight! Its def a unique color, everyone stares when I drive, you don't see alot of WRX's in my area, and definitely not red..it stands out..which means the cops love it too :)

Really excellent work! :)

I think the swirl removal was more a function of the Cyclo and pads than AIO but if it works, it works! Least aggressive is always the best way. :up

Thanks guys, you might be right Scott, the Cyclo is so easy to use, and even in the sun the AIO was easy to work with so I was really working it in taking my time on each panel.

YAL: I use Turtle Wax platinum gel, its wierd at first you get this little applicator and basically dip it into the tub which is not quite a gel not quite a liquid, a little bit goes a LONG way, and you can apply it straight up and it comes out real glossy, or come back and wipe it down and dull it down..either way it lasts a long time and doesn't sling.

Thanks for the comments guys, like I said if anything from this experience it really made me happy inside that its not a lost cause and that I can get my finish the way I want it, I felt like THE man driving to work today:xyxthumbs
