Washed a load of MF towels. I don't put them in the dryer because it appeared the first time I did that they seemed to have gotten fabric softener on it. Picked up this hanger from the dollar store that has clips to hang about 20 towels up and have been using that.
BUT, this morning, the light bulb came on and I had an idea - yes, even at my age, the brain cells can kick in once in a while, sometimes a little delayed, but kicking in just the same.
If you / your wife/girlfriend normally use dryer sheets in the dryer it's probably leaving a film on drum, so when you put in these nice damp MF towels, it's picking the film up, thus "cleaning off" the left over fabric softener.:bigscream
But since I really like the softer feel of a dryer dried towel vs an air dried I thought of an idea :jump Get a king size pillow case cover with a zipper and put your MF in there, zip it close and secure the zipper with a pin (they can open) and THEN throw it in the dryer to dry. I put mine in a reg. pillow case this morning and pinned it closed (trust me, tying it didn't work). It's easier to zip and pin then closing it with a safety pin each time, esp. since, if you don't pin it right, they will find their way out!
Just make sure if you do this, you don't over-stuff it - it needs to have enough room to move around in there

FYI, if you do use dryer sheets, make sure you clean your filter. Not just by clearing off the lint that's accumulated. It too can get a film - mine sure did. If you want to see if yours does, empty the lint from it and take it to your sink and see if you can run water through it. If water doesn't flow through it easily, you've got film. Take a old toothbrust and a little bit of soap and scrub the filter and THEN see how the water goes through like a sieve! The water barely dripped through for me when I did it - after cleaning it, like a sieve. And doing this will help your clothes dry faster too. If you use liquid softener you probably won't have this problem. Again, just my 2 cents
