Microfiber

Here's two different websites that deal in microfiber towels for professional detailers:
Wholesale Microfiber Car Towels ? By TowelPros
The Rag Company Home Page
If you look around within the website, you'll find a "sampler" kit for the do-it-yourselfer. Expensive? Depends.
Each of these suppliers deal in top-of-the-line microfiber products and the best is never cheap.
Many swirls and scratches on cars are from less-than-quality microfibers used to dry cars after washing OR wiping off car-care chemicals applied to vehicle surfaces.
(Old bath towels and old cotton T-shirts are NOT considered professionally-used fabrics today)

Let's put it this way: if you want to achieve professional results, doesn't it make sense to use the products that professionals use??

Lonnie,
Thanks for your post and the links -

I can personally vouch for Wholesale Microfiber Car Towels by TowelPros -
I have purchased their products over 10 years now, and never had an issue, had to send something back, etc..
They have had made some really great towels that have never failed me or scratched paintwork..
I'm going to have to stop in Santa Barbara next time I go by and meet them..

No, I do not receive a commission nor am I a representative of either of these two microfiber sellers/distributors/wholesalers. I have not purchased products from either of them, so I am not even a good customer. Like the original poster (OP), most of my stash of microfibers comes from Meg's over-the-counter or Target's detailer microfibers (I think the name was VROOM, but Scottwax, at one time, said they were OK) or the bargain microfibers from various places (Name brands like Rubbermaid or Peak), so Yes, it is time for me to upgrade.

I do have a microfiber towel I love: it's the red microfiber towel that came with AutoGlym's HD wax that I bought on closeout from Wal-mart (where else!?) THAT is one great microfiber for removing wax and it's relatively soft. Last I looked it was about $8.00 US plus shipping; not exactly cost-effective by my standards.

The above linked microfiber resellers are gleaned from posts about their products and service found within this forum. The fact that some of you Autopian professional detailers (who I have the utmost respect and admiration for) can vouch for their superior products and service is reason enough to let others know about such resellers.
