what is the best micofiber towel to use for quick detailing?are the ones they sell in stores to be avoided?also are diapers more likely to scratch the clear?i have a black car and you see every little fine scratch;I'm wondering if I'm putting them in using diapers to quick detail the car.I would appreciate any feedback, thanks.

Flat weave towels like diapers can be bad for QD'ing because any grit on the surface may become trapped between the towel and the paint causing scratching. A deep nap towel may allow the grit to become buried, reducing the chances of scratching. You can get some nice ones locally; they have one at WalMart made by Microtex called a "Professional Detailing Cloth", I think, which is very nice quality, usable for QD'ing.

Not used terry towels for QD'ing since MFs became really popular. For Quick Detailing I always use Pakshak Ultra Plushes, nice deep nap.

I tried a lot of different (100% cotton) diapers back in the day, and every one of them would mar automotive paint under some conditions. I'd use a plush MF, period.
