Microfiber or Cotton Terry Towel for buffing off wax?

Read on another web site that says to use cotton towels to buff off wax. They say Microfiber removes the wax. Any thoughts ????

Garbage........There's nothing wrong with using a MF for product removal, nor any evidence which proves a MF removes waxes or sealants.

Why is there evidence (sustainable beading) of protection after all of my sealant applications?

^^ what he said.

I've read something similar in the past, but it was more to do with the weave of the towel, not the material. In my experience, I've found that low pile MFs do the job the best.

There is some truth but like all things not 100% correct. Yes MF can remove wax film as they are good at that, reason they work so well with cleaning. With light pressure a MF will not hurt the film layer, if you push down hard it can hurt the film layer and wont be as thick as if you removed the wax in a nice slow, light pressure.

In summary, MF are fine for wax removal, just use light pressure and dont bear down on the paint and move your hand as fast as you can, nice slow long movement will get the job done and leave you with the best film layer.
