Which do you prefer?

Why?

Where do you purchase them from?

I like Meguiar's white MF applicators a lot as the quality is very high and they are easily available. Also, the light blue ones sold from Premium Auto Care are pretty nice.

What are your choices? I am in the market for a bunch of new ones.

I really like Clearkote's MF applicators a lot. There built very well, and they've been through the wash atleast 10 times and are holding up so far. Im pretty sure I purchased them from SMP sometime ago.

my favorite microfiber is the one i stole from my friends eagle one nanowax kit thing haha... i dont know wher to buy them in bulk! i use microtex also, pretty good.

The square blue ones that Danase' sells and the circular blue VIKING ones are both decent. I like the square ones for applying dressings and leather conditioner, and the circular ones for waxes. The naps are short, but they're still perfectly fine.

I like the megs even coat applicators, not sure if your using those or not but I find they fit in my hand well and I use them for spray waxes alot.

Agree the Meg Evencoat applicators work awesome, I ordered some blue ones from autogeek and they are much thicker.

I'm still trying to figure out what to use mine for. I'd rather just use a MF towel; more working space than a little pad.

i'll probably get flack for this but i see nothing with the waalmart blue ones that i always use. dosent scratch cds and they are cheap. i have like thirty of them, and use like eighteen per car.

Yeah I know, i guess i just got used to using the Megs foam pad. For some reason i didn't like applying my wax with a mf applicator. Maybe i should try it again.

Huck towels for windows :2thumbs:

I like the megs applicators but the stitching always seems to come apart on them after a few washes for me.. anyone else have this problem?

On a side note, I picked up some of the excel round MF applicators and they work very well..

I've had that problem with 2 out of my 4 megs applicators.

Back to the main subject, i would definately check out chemicalguys, you get 8 for like 13 or 14 bucks and they are soft, dont' come apart, and have the perfect length in nap for dressings or wax.

I love the DF applicator. The foam comes out and you can wash separately. You can also dampen the foam only and that seems to keep the applicator properly moist throughout the application of product. A bit more expensive but it lasts indefinitely.

@firegate @SVECobraR:

I had the same problem recently with the Gold Class white mf appl. After washing them in a washer they fall apart at the seams. So I started to wash them by hand. They do work well especially with Zaino in that it allows you to apply thin coats of polish.

Any other mf applicator that applies thin even-coats?

I've always used foam applicators, and I've heard that foam applicators don't suck up the product you're using and washes out easily. It also makes it easier to spread waxes/polishes thinly. If you're worried about prices, Walmart has cheap (not low-quality!) Meguiars Gold Class foam applicators for 97 cents (2 foam applicator pack)

I hate MF applicators. They suck up product and drag. A terry applicator warks much better, GC foam applicators are also really nice.
