Micro-scratches in black?

Hey guys, I've had my car for about 6 months now and when I wasw washing it today, I noticed a few scratches on the trunk and hood area. The scratches are very fine and can only be seen from certain angles, but I'd still like to remove them. I've searches the forum and there seems to be a lot of conflicting info as to how to repair scratches such as these. Should I start out with a scratch-x or swirl-x type product? Your help is appreciated.

A nice fine polish is your friend. It's hard to understand the extent of the paint damage, but from your description it seems as if it's very light micro-marring. Take some polish after it and you should get it sorted out.



How hard it is and how long it takes will be driven by how bad the damage is, and what type of paint you're working on.
