Micro Restore

I used this on two loads of microfibers last night and they seemed to come out very clean and I noticed that they seem to have that static feel back to them now.

Hey, has anyone tested how well mfs come out in the laundry using a top quality regular detergent vs. Micro Restore? I would assume any specialty weave or fabric,mf included, would benefit from individual, custom formulated detegents just for them (i.e. silk detegent only, wool detegent only, satin detergent only, etc) or would that be hype?

Well, the microfibers I washed were older and seemed to be "dead" if you will. They always say regular laundry soap. The Micro Restore seemed to revive them.

I used the micro-restore one time and really didn't notice much of a difference from washing the MFs in "All Free and Clear" It is a liquid laundry detergent with no additives.
To be fair ... Even when using the Micro -Restore, I soaked the MFs in Dawn overnight ... ran them through a rinse cycle (to remove the Dawn) ... then washed in hot water. I also have softened water.

Yeah I wonder if it could be hit or miss and the hardness/softness of one's water that really impacts ther performance of this stuff. I use the same detergent I use on clothes for mfs and have had nothing but pleasing results.

Naw. Pinnacle has unleashed some new products which seem pretty good. MicroRestore has worked for me, its just a little expensive. Use your usual liquid detergents for initial dirt cleaning.

I don't know if you would call Charlie's Soap "regular detergent," but I bought it originally just for cleaning my MF's, but have been using it on all of our laundry. My wife was complaining about the smell of Tide. Now she's happy and it's working very well on everything. I bought the liquid because of the cautions against using powders for MF cleaning. It works out to 17-cents per load. It turned out to be a win, win for me.

I now use Sonus Der Wunder Wasche. I wouldn't doubt if it's re-labeled Pinnable Micro-Rejuvinator. It has the exact same bottle with a very similar description.

The best MF regimen I had before the Sonus was hot/cold wash (yes hot, but my water heater is not set high enough to damage the mf's). Used a cup of laundry detergent, 1 oz dawn, 3 oz of Meguiar's APC+, and a downy ball full of distilled white vinegar. Prior to this, I just used the same minus the APC+. I felt with using the APC+ it really restored the life (plushness) and softness to the MFs. However, at the end of the day, with Sonus DWW they came out a touch more soft/plush.

So, all in all, I will be using a dedicated MF detergent from now on.

Hmm.. if it works wonders on mfs what will it do to clothes? :D

It has crossed my mind many times.

I think my girlfriend might kill me if she finds me using MF shampoo on my clothing ;)

Hmmmm.... The way some waxes are marketed you'd think they were the best in the world too. :) You or somebody, I forgot who, also mentioned about hard water. I believe the water hardness/content definitly does affect the way soaps/detergents work.

Yeah, I bet hardness/softness of the water is going to make a difference in not only how detergents perform, but also even car washes

The Pinnacle smells much better than the Sonus and I seem to get slightly better results with it.
