Been detailing the MGB for this spring's shows. Nothing too fancy this time, the car had been pretty clean all winter and just needed some general cleaning and wax, etc:
First, washed the car with NXT car wash followed by a long rinse with Mr Clean filtered water (also washed the engine compartment the same way). Dried with a water-blade then it sat for a couple of days under the cover until I got around to working on it again...then applied a thin coat of NXT Paste to the whole exterior (including the stainless steel luggage rack, mirrors, windshield frame, and wheels), engine compartment, underside of the hood, trunk interior, door sills. Repeated the process on the exterior paint a couple of days later - the NXT was applied by hand with a foam applicator and removed with an MF cloth. These are the results:
Had the carpets out of the trunk for waxing so I vacuumed them outside of the car, then went to work on the interior carpet - followed by a lint-roller. I cleaned the seats with a small brush and vinyl cleaner, followed by Zaino Z10. I used Z10 on the dash, and Pinnacle Leather Conditioner on the shift boot and steering wheel cover.
As I said before, I used NXT Paste on the engine compartment...followed by NXT Protectant on the hoses and plastic parts.
Another view...I used NXT Protectant on the tires, let them sit awhile, then wiped them down with a clean sponge:
