MF towels

I'm getting ready to place an order to replace some less than great MF towels I have and I'm pretty much sticking with 530gsm for anything exterior. I'm getting some good glass towels for the glass and want to know what is best recommended for the interior both for APC, dressing and leather cleaner/conditioner. Suggestions appreciated.

Thanks.

Personal opinion

I don't use micro on interior. I apply, then remove excess with terry cloth.

I have heard in the past that micro will remove too much of what you have applied.

Wait for others to chime in

I use chemical guys orange banger towel in my interior for APC use, or when I use chemical guys inner clean(great stuff btw). They're soft and are great for bulk pricing. I use microfiber applicators for dressings/sealants. My go to is the Wolfgang cockpit sealant at the moment. Great on pretty much anything in my interior.

I'm guessing the consensus for interior is terry. I've seen the terry cloth bundles at Costco. Do those lint? White lint + black leather = me pulling out what's left of my hair! I'm a little OCD.

Thanks for the responses.

the linting is so minimal and it only is for cheaper brands. the costco one just wash em first and then go for it. both my cars are black interiors so i understand your concern. still the correct towel

I'd 2nd the Costco MF route for interior. They actually have two different units, the Eurow 350's that are short nap (yellow). Then the Kirkland (gold) dual nap that are at least 350's, maybe 360's or so. Comparing them to the 360's I offer to customers in a maintenance package that are silk edged they are pretty close. (Just don't trust customers with a bound/sewn edge towel.)

One important thing with all their towels (for softness, lint, and ESPECIALLY the tags) is to wash them first. Grab the tab with a little snap in one direction and a big ZIP in the other and the tags will pop right off.

The gold Kirklands are actually fairly decent towels and with hard paint I've yet to have them instill any swirls.

Both have a price point under 45¢ that makes them easy enough to use just once on paint and delegate to other duties afterwards. ;)

Certainly not as safe (or as nice) as silk edged towels, but then again they are nowhere NEAR as expensive either. ;)
