I want to get some mf towels for the first time.

I got a price list from JT International and have no idea what I am looking at really, such as what I need. could someone that has ordered from there help me out I could email you the price list so you see what I see.

also I am not def getting them from there but their prices look good, so anyone speak up.

thanks

I would recommend as a starter kit something like the following.

6 to 8 - 16" x 16" micro fiber towels

2 (size ?) - waffle weave micro fiber towels

I have heard nothing but good things about Tom's micro fiber towels and customer service.

With Aloha,

Ranney :)

For the waffle weave, I would go for the larger blue ones. The smaller ( grey ) ones work just as well but they cannot absorb as much water and one grey one is not enough to dry my Mini, while the blue one is. Autopia's new blue Sonus waffle weave looks to be a good deal, as it claims to absorb more than other blue ones of the same size, but I have not tried it yet. Pakshak also sells a blue WW at a good price. Autopia's cotton beige mf towel ( can't remember the name!) is great for putting a higher level of gloss on a wax job than other mfs are capable of doing.

Gotta love the PakShak Ultra 24 x 24.This size works great on a larger veh. like my AV.And the WW suck up some pretty good water.:xyxthumbs

Mookie, what kind of car ? Size will help determine what size towels you make like better....You wont need a huge waffle weave for a small car, and vice versa......You may want different quality MF's, something slightly plusher for exterior paint care vs the interior.....I would maybe add several less expensive ones for the interior, along with 6-8 for exterior, and a couple waffle weaves, like Pak said.....

5-10 16X16 MF's

1 or 2 large WW

1 DF Towel natural fiber MF just because they are great for final detailing (lite dusting and QD'ing).

Great vendors: Exceldetail (great prices, customer service and quality. really nice WW's - both large and medium sizes), Pakshak (great prices, customer service and quality), WCD (10 pk very soft and plush terry 16x16 MF's for $19 - excellent buy :xyxthumbs), Autofiber and Autopia Store (special running until the 15th on all MF stock).

I have an Explorer 4 door.

thanks for all the responses. also pak had gotten great reviews from here that is probably where I will go.

Who knew I would have to put thought into buying towels :nixweiss

I took Ranney's advice, but I should have bought 9 of the l6xl6, only because Im an odd number guy, I'd have 3 of each color.

Get different colors, Ranney suggested this to me and it helps keep track of things.

Ranney how much to buy just one more to CA?:rofl

Just to throw something in the mix www.poorboysworld.com has some really good microfibers. I can't be without my megaplush MF, plush on one side, smooth on the other:o . But any of the companies listed above carry great MF towels, I've personally used Autopias and Pakshaks!:xyxthumbs

check out the sample pack from these people. I bought it 2 years ago and I stil have them. They can't be beat for the $ and they don't rip you off for shipping, which is a peave of mine. I was actually thinking of reordering because I only dry my new car with the waffle weave and 1 does not really cut it. Good luck!!!http://www.vaporcleanproducts.com/microfiber.htm

I tried vapor clean MF and on a one to ten scale I would give them a 6 on thereMF towels.I paid for 4 towels and they sent me 10.Really not that plush just O.K.They are yellow towels with black stitching around the seams.Iam not pushing anybody but a good company that I found 16x16 with a good hand 80-20 is TEXTILES FOR YOU in CALIF. 4 towels for 7.99 plus shipping not the plushest but real nice.

meaning... this is SILKY SMOOTH MITT. I really will hate using this to clean cars. this should be used for something that you wear n the winter! heheheh
